Polished and Pretty
CLIP
Cut your nails to the length you like them we recommend short and slightly rounded. When you cut 'em, it's best to clip straight across, not at an angle.
FILE
Use a soft file to gently round off edges so they aren't sharp. If you use a soft tile it's OK to saw back and forth because it won't split your nails.
TREAT CUTICLES
Apply a cuticle cream to each nail and massage it in. Then use a cuticle pusher to push cuticles back toward the sides and base of your nails. Avoid cutting cuticles because they help protect your nails from infection. If you have hangnails, go ahead and carefully clip them.
BUFF
Dot cuticle oil on top of each nail, then use a fine nail buffer to gently buff your nails and remove any ridges.
PREP FOR POLISH
Swipe each nail with a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover to get rid of excess oil (this'll help make your polish last longer). Rinse nails and dry.
PAINT
Roll the bottle of polish between your palms to mix up the pigment. Avoid shaking the bottle because that can cause bubbles to form once you swipe it on. Apply a clear base coat, then brush on the first coat of color paint one stripe down the center and then one on either side for even coverage. Next, coat the edge of your nail with the polish to help prevent chipping. Let dry about three minutes before applying the second coat. Finish the paint job with a clear topcoat. Once your nails are thoroughly dry (allow for at least 20 minutes), smooth on a hand lotion.
