Meet Larissa

“The Ruffle Queen”
Larissa has a funky sense of style and loves to stand out. She'll mix her own creations with thrift store finds and Forever 21 bargains. Behind her trendy glasses are colorfully shadowed eyelids; on her ears hang big, bold hoops; around her neck are tons of chains and charms. You can’t put this fashionista in a box -- she's hopped all over the world, including Germany, Nigeria, Egypt, and France! She favors fabric that is bright and patterned, especially dazzling florals and animal prints. Her designs are all about being bouncy, showing confidence, and screaming fun.

Favorite Fashion Trend:
I love hats. Whether it's a top hat or an Ed Hardy cap, they're all awesome! An outfit isn't complete unless you have a hat to match. Think of it as your outfit is a sandwich and your footwear and the headwear are the bread. Yummy!

Best Thing About Going to a Fashion High School:
Learning how to make any garment you can't afford to buy or any garment you are unable to find anywhere else but in your dreams. I save bundles of money and get to see my dreams come true.

Worst Thing About Going to a Fashion High School:
I wish there had been more guys so I could have had a "high school sweetheart."

Prom Date:
My prom date should be a smooth talker. Someone who knows how to make me laugh and who knows how to dance. I would also like him to be someone who I know I would still be friends with in 10 years, so we can reminisce on how awesome the night was.
