Chic Sophisticate
YOUR LOOK: A plum smoky eye, soft nude lips, and a cool, piecey updo.
EYES- Using a black pencil, line your inner rims and upper and lower lash lines (Try: Clinique Kohl Shaper for Eyes in Black, $16, clinique.com).
- Dust gray shadow over your lids and pale lilac from your creases to just beneath your brow bones, then apply dark plum eye shadow along your upper and lower lash lines, over the pencil (Try: Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow quad in Berry Bloom, $7, drugstore.com).
- Coat your top lashes with black mascara.
- Smooth tinted moisturizer over your face to give your complexion a soft glow (Try: Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15, $10, ulta.com).
- Line and fill in your lips with a lip pencil a shade lighter than your skin tone. If you have a medium to dark complexion, use a beige lip pencil (Try: Stila Lip Pencil in contour no. 24, $14, stilacosmetics.com). If you have light skin, choose a pinkish-beige pencil (Try: Mac Lip Pencil in Cedar, $13, maccosmetics.com).
- Smooth on a glossy lip balm (Try: Vaseline Lip Therapy, $2, drugstore.com).
- Use a comb to create a center part.
- Run a straightening iron over the top layer of your hair, twisting the iron down and under when you get to the ends to create a slight inward bend.
- To make your hair look piecey, rub a dime-sized blob of texturizing pomade between your fingers and separate and define random ½-inch section of hair. This style is for hair that’s chin-length or shorter. If yours is longer and you have face-framing layers, pull your hair back into a low, messy bun, then style the sides according to directions (Try: Got2b Playful Texturizing Creme Pomade, $6, drugstore.com).
